A Place to Remember Gus and to Share

On November 27th, our dear Gus Archilla passed on peacefully from our lives. He was just days away from his 97th birthday. This is such a great loss to us all that it’s really hard to get one’s head around all he meant to us and how much we will miss him.

“The Boys” in their natural habitat, Manhattan

This website was created as a place for all to come remember Gus – to see a growing collection of photos of him – and read what others have written and shared of their experiences with him (in the Memories & Stories section of this site). Most important, it is an opportunity for any of you to share your memories and feelings about this incredible man that means so much to us.

You can post a comment on any article as they appear on the site and you can submit your own articles and stories about Gus for everyone to read and enjoy. Also, you will shortly be able to upload photos to the Gallery to share with us all.

How to Share Your Memories, Stories and Comments

To submit a story or article, just click the Sign In button on the top menu, then click the Register link and complete the form. You will be notified by email immediately with your password so you can log in and share your thoughts, memories and pictures.

There is also a Contact form you can use to send requests, questions and comments. I will respond as soon as possible to help in any way. I will also pass on any messages and thoughts to Elmer, from whom Gus has not been separated for almost 70 years until now.

With love to all who knew my Uncle Gus,
Richard Chimelis
